’27’ is a two-part project born from malaïka’s deep reflections with herself and her close community, serving as a self-archive at 27 years old.
From these reflections, she crafted a 7-track EP titled ‘27’ and collaborated with two photographers on a self-portrait series, resulting in 27 images shaped by the different perceptions of her.
Beyond these art forms, ‘27’ invites collective reflections on self, archival traditions, and the role of art as a tool for documentation.
