Poet’s Palace is bringing another new event for 2024 at Queen of the South. For the first time we will host a night made up 100% by open micers. This event is designed to showcase as much emerging talent on the spoken word scene as possible in one magical evening!
Our open mic competition will still be happening – the winner of the audience vote wins a paid feature at a future event and other prizes for open micers will be available.

Poet’s Palace hosts regular spoken word, poetry, rap, lyricism open mic nights for up and coming artists. We are currently expanding into educational workshops as well as music and poetry projects.
Spoken word is a thriving scene in the UK with an abundance of unearthed talent performing regularly on the open mic track. Poet’s Palace wants to provide a platform for Spoken Word artists to gain more exposure while facilitating paid opportunities for performance, workshop delivery and project leading. Poet’s Palace aims to be a part of the evolution of the scene, taking Spoken Word to the next level and making it accessible for all.
